Welcome to us
At the Children’s Unit, we work to investigate and follow up on approved measures for children aged 0–12 years.
Our mission is to create an accessible and knowledge-based social service that is based on the needs of the residents. To work closer to our clients and build long-term trust, we continuously develop our working methods and approaches.
We are now looking for a new colleague to our dedicated team!
Supporting the team are two transition social workers who assist in the daily work and contribute to developing new working methods. We also have two method developers in the field who provide introduction, knowledge, and structure, as well as two team leaders who lead and distribute the work. The unit consists of a total of 14 social workers, two team leaders, and one unit manager – all with a shared focus on meeting the district's children and their families in the investigation work and in following up on approved measures.

Your role
As a social worker at the Children’s Unit, you will work with:
- Investigations according to SoL and LVU
- Follow-up of approved measures
- Collaboration internally and externally, for example with schools, preschools, BVC, child and adolescent psychiatry.
We constantly work to develop our methods to offer professional support and create lasting change. You will be part of a team that collectively takes responsibility for the entire process from investigation to follow-up. We work two on the cases - one primary and one co-worker.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in social work
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
We consider it an advantage if you also have experience in social work with children and adolescents or have experience in authority work within social services. We place great importance on the following personal competencies:
You are structured and can keep track of your cases, while being goal- and result-oriented with a clear focus on creating the best possible conditions for children and families. You are relationship-building and have the ability to build trust and good collaborations, both with clients and their networks. Furthermore, we value that you are collaborative and enjoy working closely with both colleagues and other partners to achieve common goals. You also act professionally and can relate in a way that is adapted to the role. You are confident, stable, and have self-awareness.
